New Thoughts about the "three-fold cord" that is not easily broken and what it means....
by Muddy Waters ingot to thinking about this the other day.... you know how the wts uses a scripture from ecclesiastes (ecc.4:12) to say how important it is to have jehovah in your marriage -- that a two-fold cord is easily broken or pulled apart, but a "three-fold cord is not easily broken".
they then go on to define exactly who and what jehovah is and what exactly this love & marital arrangement means and how you properly show and demonstrate it, and blah blah blah and all the things jehovah (through his organization) says are so necessary and important for a happy marriage (from their special bias and agenda, the preaching work!
- and meeting attendance & preparation, and studying the bible together and the husband taking the lead, and all that jw filler which they define and obligate for others to do -- they define every term and behavior and expectation to the nth degree.. then it occurred to me, that the scriptures simply and always say, "god is love.

Well, phooey. I knew my title would suck and wondered if my great "Revelation" (haha) would get any notice. But I'd already posted it and am unable to change the subject title. More phooey, lol.
So. This was a huge realization for me, lol.
I wish I'd made the title "God, Love & Marriage vs. WT Cow-turd Stuff-and-bother when the bible "truth" is so plain....!!"

Got to thinking about this the other day...
- and meeting attendance & preparation, and studying the bible together and the husband taking the lead, and all that JW FILLER which they define and obligate for others to do -- they define every term and behavior and expectation to the nth degree.
Then it occurred to me, that the scriptures simply and always say, "God is LOVE."
(at this point in my journey, am agnostic/atheist or what-the-hell-ist)
So anyway.... I mean, really. If God is "love", and you have LOVE in your marriage, isn't this really what the scripture is all about??
You don't need all the religious rigamarol and trapping and defining and telling you what to do. Most people know what love means and how you show it. Most people know the right thing to do and how to treat each other with kindness, respect, love, etc. (unless you're a psychopath or have some serious issues & problems!)
I am so through with religion and all of their their pious, limiting, stringent definitions and standards. Viva la LOVE! :) :)

WT October 15, 2015 - Don't believe Apostate Lies
by Designer Stubble inthe last article in this new wt, shows me that the organization is dealing with much information that is damaging them.
i am sure that the many recent lawsuits are being noticed by the r&f.. here are some gems from that article, titled the naive person believes every word.
we must be very selective about what we consider worthy of our attention.

The expression, "Give them enough rope and they'll hang themself" comes to mind... -

What the Governing Body found out when they ' did the math'
by Esse quam videri instephen lett may 2015 broadcast.
14:45 ... the governing body very much feels the urgency of accomplishing as much as we possibly can, in behalf of kingdom interests, knowing that the great day of jehovah is near....
... in an effort to inform you of the support that is needed for this great work, i have the following information to share.

Esse Quam Videri - you have a gift! You have an exquisite talent for dissembling and creating great, yet sharply accurate satire! I love your breakdown of Lett's speech. Are you a writer? If not, you're should be!

Demons
by Pattytheperfect1 inthis isn't a joke and i don't post here often but i had a conversation with my grandma i found comical and thought i'd share.
my uncle lives far away and my grandma wants to go visit him but says she is afraid of the demons in his rental home.
she is afraid a demon might follow her home.

Gah, sorry Spectre! Clumsy fingers here, hit dislike when meant to hit like!
Simon, can you make those like/dislike features be toggled on/off...??
And Sir82, exactly! I've never understood that either about why the demons, with all their power & cunning, etc., would do such weird things like that. Maybe to make people whose minds are already under cult-control to think that they're crazy - or not crazy! Ha !

when you were a JW what did you do with your fortune cookie?? LOL
by James Mixon insomeone who is not familiar with jw none sense would think, are you.
serious, a fortune cookie.
is there a scripture that say you will be destroyed when.
-
Muddy Waters
Ha. So funny. As a totally indoctrinated dubbie, I believed that fortune cookies were evil objects of divination- fearsome things straight from Satan to lead us astray. They were terrible and loathsome things indeed. I would be shocked that some JWs could not see the great danger in them.
Hoo boy. I do shake my head at it all now.....

David Splane: The Catholic Church brought the Gospel into China!
by FusionTheism inquotes from the new david splane "1900 years" video:.
"the catholic church took the preaching work more seriously than the reformers... who brought the gospel into china?
... it was the catholic church.".

Ugh... I just had a hideous mental image of Splane....
Simon, my apologies, feel free to delete this next comment -- but I just had a bile-inducing picture of Splane, standing, eyes closed, murmuring, "Yes, that's it... Swallow it... That's right... Swallow all of it, darling..."
Oh god. Okay. Did I say I'm heading out for some damn sunshine & fresh air? Much needed...!

Oh, yes, and I meant to say that by these kind, gentle, reasonable words, said by him, that doesn't it just show Jehovah's love and reasonableness? And how we mustn't judge? So loving.... And we all so imperfect, after all.
Yet don't you dare question us! And follow everything we say or else you will lose your whole family and friends and be forever shunned and considered as dead until you acknowledge our supremacy and authority and totally believe our claim that God is speaking to ONLY US and that only we, through divine communication and approval, have the truth! (fineprint: truth subject to change at any moment, and which you must also totally and unquestionably accept!)
agh! Off for sunshine!

Maybe, Faye, it's because they're becoming more and more like the Catholic Church themselves! Ugh, it irks me to no end, their duplicity and double talk!!
I really think Splane is the new Franz. I think he's the one behind the new songs and much of the new doctrine and new light. I could be wrong on this, of course. Who the heck knows.
But he's really big on himself and I think he has an even more arrogant sneer and evil eyes than Morris & Lett put together. I've been watching him closely and he's really a piece of work. He was our circuit overseer for awhile and at the time I thought he was fabulous, so spiritual, so loving, so earnest, blah blah blah. His wife a quiet woman in the background. He got all the glory and honour and applause. Now he gets it on a much larger scale, and I think it's going to his head. To all of their heads, actually! Jerks. Pompous bastards.
Bah! I must get out and enjoy some sunshine.
